Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

So, I’m not the only one who has a book they can reread over and over without getting sick of it, right? The book-equivalent to a “happy place”?

I’ve got a few, the most recent of which is Red, White, & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. If you haven’t heard of it, RWRB is a fabulous LGBTQ+ contemporary romance about the son of the President of the United States falling in love with the prince of England and discovering a good bit about himself along the way. It’s the only book I’ve read that’s made my laugh so hard I cried… repeatedly. Seriously, you’ll never look at the President’s annual turkey pardon the same way again after reading this gem. The characters are endearing, the dialogue is witty, the dynamic between Alex and Henry is #lifegoals, and, *sigh* it’s got that blessed enemies-to-lovers trope that I just can’t get enough of.
